In the center of the lake there is the church of Saint Fanourios. Previously there was the Monastery of St. George, but because of the flood, it moved a short distance from its original position at a neighboring hill.

The monastery, built around 1610 and renovated in 1754, is a 3 floor building with inner courtyard, where the church of St George is and the cells for the monks. The monastery is ideal for those who want a hideaway, as there are rooms for hospitality.
